3v2
10 - 15 mins approx
Attackers (yellows) work way down outside of funnel making longer and longer passes.
Once at end they pick left or right player to make a wide pass to.
Player receiving the pass becomes the 3rd attacker (3)
The other player becomes the extra / covering defender (2)
Covering defender has to jump back quickly to help mate out!
Technical points
- flat forehand push passes, good first touch.
Tactical

3 zones, 3 teams.
Stage 1
3 sets of 6 mins
Teams to stay in zones until middle team intercept ball.
Teams in 2 endzones try to pass through the middle zone to each other, team in middle zone try to intercept. If they intercept they go and attack against team they intercpeted pass off. Either score in goal or carry over line.
Each team gets a set in middle zone as the 'attacking' side.
Stage 2
3 sets of 5 mins
'attackers’ start in middle zone but can then go anywhere. Possibly add in extra player to facilitate cutting pitch or other pressing options and increase likelihood of counter attack and GK action?
Other 2 teams stay in endzones
Technical points
- flat forehand to forehand passes, good first touch.
Tactical
- leading so the pass is away from contact
