Dribbling n Switch

Organization: Players dribble around the area and wait for coach to call out commands

Instructions: Players dribble around the area practicing their messi touches. When coach yells "change" players put their foot on the ball and change balls with a teammate. When coach yells switch players dribble across the diving area to oppposite grid.

Coaching Points:

Dribble with your head up

Keep the ball close to your foot

Change of pace

Progressions:

First team to get all players to other side gets 5 points

anytime you run into a teammate -1 point

anytime you run out of bounds -1 point

anytime you run into other team -2 points

Organization: PLayers dribble in an open grid and listen for commands

Instructions: All players start with 5 points. Players dribble around in the grid. If couch yells I Spy 1,2,3, or 4 players must dribble to that numer of cones and stop the ball on the line.

Coaching Points:

Dribble with your head up

Dribble fast then slow when you get close to cone

Krrp the ball close to your foot.

Progressions:

If coach yells I Spy orange,blue, silver, or yellow player must dribble to those cones and stop the ball on the line. Last one there loses a point
