Wolf
The Wolf is a great dribbling game that starts off as a 1v1 game but escalates quickly into a 'Xv1'frenzy.
Each player with the ball. One player without a ball.
3 Rounds
Game begins with the wolf looking to steal the bacon (the ball). If they successfully steal the ball from the player, it becomes a 1v1 until the ball is either won back by the player or the wolf scores a goal.
Coaching Points:
-Should we be taking small touches or big touches? (Small)
-What part of the foot helps us change direction? (inside/outside/sole)
-Should we be looking up or down when dribbling? (Up)
Advanced Coaching Points:
-As a soccer player, what does this game help us get better at? (identifying space under pressure/checking our shoulders)
-What characteristics would the best wolf possess? (small touches/great control/decision making/using all surfaces of their foot/quick changes of direction and speed/head up)
Regressions:
-Coach starts off as the wolf and steals the ball from several players before becoming the coach again, praising players for changes of direction/head up/running into space. Generally, the coach wants to convert a good player so they can alleviate the amount of scoring they have to do.
- Start with multiple wolves and have them compete to see who can convert the most people.
Progressions:
-If a wolf converts three people, they become a soccer player again (this will incentivize some players to work harder).
-Have the wolfs keep score of how many people they convert and see who converts the most players. Use that person as an example and ask what soccer qualities they showed.

Organization:
2 goals aimed away from each other and separated by approximately 5 yards.
Coach has all the balls in a central pile off the field.
Players are in two lines.
Coach plays a driven ball between the two goals.
The players at the front of the line race to the ball and are now in a 1v1 environment. After they score or the ball goes out of bounds, they reset to the back of the line.
Progressions/Regressions:
Bouncing balls played in.
Pass it to a corner or to a particular player.
Add a second or third line of players closer to the end line, creating a 2v2/3v3 opportunity

Organization:
Teams are divided in half, lines organized besides the goals.
Balls and coach are off to side. All balls fed into the area come from the coach.
Instructions:
Attacking team (Yellow team) gets to choose from a 2v1, 3v2, or 4v3 attack.
Attacking team gets number of points each round equal to the number of defenders they scored on.
If defending team wins the ball, they can attack the goal and get points equal to the number of attackers that round. Example: A 3v2 that the defenders score on, they would get 3 points.
Coaching Points/Questions:
Should we dribble at speed or slowly?
Where can we find the most space?
Regressions/Progressions:
Regression for Attacking Team: Make numbers more uneven, 3v1, 4v2.
Progression: Give additional points for 1v1/skill moves.
Progression: Reduce uneven numbers, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4.

Mario
Players evenly split and lined up next to goals.
All balls located next to the coach in a corner.
When the coach plays a ball into the space, all the players at the front of the line attempt to gain control of the ball and score in any other goal other than theirs. When the ball leaves play, they go to the back of their respective lines.
Each team is given three lives. Each time a goal is scored in their net, they lose a life. Last team with lives wins.
If your team loses all of their lives, they have to flip over their goal and watch the rest of the rounds. This provides the coaches with excellent opportunities for coaching moments.
Coaching Points:
-When we get possession of the ball, what do we do?
-Which goal is easiest to score on? (the goals to the left or right because the goal straight ahead will have us dribbling between two people)
-What should our primary concern be? (to not concede by overly committing to winning the ball)
Regressions:
-Pass two balls into play to enable more opportunities to the players to score.
-Give the winning team less lives and the worst teams more lives
Progressions:
-Force players to change direction at least once with the ball before scoring to steal a life
-If the player scores in the goal directly across from them, they steal a life
-Rounds only last 5 seconds
-Players start the round by doing something goofy (laying on the ground/running around their goal/two jumping jacks/etc)
