Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Attacking in wide areas (Start Time: 2021-04-06 19:00:00)

Warm up/Start Up

For the warm up let players just do some ball mastery and so Josh can see whether ball mastery is where he needs it to be for the session. Only spend 5-10 minutes on this as their is only 5mins of the session. Planned for 10 players but just add goal keepers or an extra defender.

Organisation:

Set up an area (The whole quarter) with lines divided for the players and to create the zones for the session ahead. To start with players focus on their own team their own individual targets and prerequisites of that position. 

Should look like a cycle and neat before it gets messy.

Coaching Points:

- Scoring from wide areas

- 3 corners 

- Receiving the ball to play forward early

- Decision when to counter attack

- Quality of the pass

- Attitude of the pass and decision

Progressions:

- Wide players to receive, 3 corners 

- Positive in wide areas 

- Attack with meaning 

- Produce a 1vs 1 

SSG

Following the numbers of formations if the 12 players turn up. 

EMPHASIS ON WIDE AREAS ALONG WITH FAULSE RUNS.

Within the SSG let players get create and end on a positive note. Linking in all coaching points and remember to only fly by coach within this as the players just need to play!

2. Early decisions to dribble, shoot, or pass.

3. Communication

4. Creativity in movement off the ball (constant mobility)

5. Incorporate give-go, overlap, etc.

6. Know when and how to counter and attack with class
