This session is intended to improve our ability to create chances and score goals by playing through Zone 14. The drills are simple and without much instruction because we want to encourage the players to use their own creativity to create those chances.

Objective: mental and physical activation game for the training session.
Set-up: 10x10 grid. 10 players.
Variations: 1 touch and 2 touch. Introduce rules for megs and splits. If you get megged you have to defend again. If you and your partner get split you both have to defend again.
Coaching Points: proper passing and receiving, movement to fill in spaces, fast transitions from defending to attacking and from attacking to defending.

Objective: improve our forward movement, combination play, play between the lines and breaking lines in and around Zone 14.
Organization: a grid that is 24 yards wide and 20 yards long set-up at the top of the D. 4 mannequins placed like a back 4 and 2 like holding mids. Three forwards inside the box. Three lines of players 5 yards outside the box with balls.
Instructions: Player in one of the lines outside the box takes a touch then passes the ball into one of the forwards. The 3 forwards try to beat the mannequins with combinations and movement.
Variations: Add live defenders.

2. Combination play
3. Can we break lines but be onside?
4. Use of play between the lines.
