Developing a Theme: Midfield Offensively in a 4-2-3-1
OPTION 2:
Organization:
60x50
2x small goals in wide areas
(RED) Back 4 lined up, 2 CDM, 2 strikers playing 2v4 in box
(BLUE) 2 CB, 2 CDM, 3 CAM/WING, 1 STR
Coaching Points:
Blue team start in the box near halfway in a 4v2. 3 passes to break out the box.
2 players may exit the area, 1 moving directly towards the box while the other makes the aerly pass out wide.
The wide player draws the fullback while the striker keeps his distance until the right moment to get infront of the closest CB and receive the pass.
#10 tries makes a late deep run across the striker to recieve the ball and drive at goal to shoot, or if receiving in a wider area, then looking to cross into the oncoming midfielders entering the box.

OPTION 3:
Organization:
60x50
2x small goals in wide areas
(RED) Back 4 lined up, 2 CDM, 2 strikers playing 2v4 in box
(BLUE) 2 CB, 2 CDM, 3 CAM/WING, 1 STR
Coaching Points:
Blue team start in the box near halfway in a 4v2. 3 passes to break out the box.
2 players may exit the area, trying to play an early direct ball into the striker.
#10 starts in a wider position to manipulate space for the ball into the striker.
The trigger is then for the #10 to run in behind the striker to recieve the ball, and the wide players trigger to run inside off the striker to create options to shoot, and also if it breaks down they can win the ball high up the pitch.
