Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Moving with the Ball

Screen 1 (5 mins)

SET UP

7v7 Whites attacking Blues defending Switch after 4 minutes.

Pitch size 50x50. Point zone 10x10

INSTRUCTIONS

Whites keep the ball moving trying to either dribble or pass through the zone in the centre. Pass one point. Dribble 2 points.

COACHING POINTS

Attacking team keep possession until they see either a pass or one on one. Importance on movement on the ball and defending off the ball.

Coach can position their selves on either touchline keeping central. 

Touches and passes can be limited as the players progress.

Park can be adjusted in size making possession more difficult.

High tempo try and draw defenders out to make space for the passes or dribble.

Decision making knowing when to dribble or pass.

Everyone must have touched the ball before making the killer pass or dribble.
