HYSCSAQ Week 3 Effective Pressing Defending 1v1 Transition 1v1+1
This week the focus will be how to defend as an individual in 1v1 situations, teaching the players correct motor skills, body shape, tackling techniques and decision making based on where they are in relation to the goal and how this changes the decision making of how they use their defensive skill set..
We will then move on to teach the player how to effectively press when defending, dictating the attackers movement back towards their own goal. this will create moments of transition for the defender when stealing the ball recognising to switch to attack and try to score.
