Organization:

Knock-out

1) 30x30

2) Each player has a ball

Instructions:

1) Players are looking to knock other players out of box

2) Each time ball is knocked out, take a lap w/ball around box or 6 toe taps and go back in

Coaching Points:

1) Working on turns and change of direction

2) Messi v Ronaldo Touches

3) Look up after every touch

Progressions:

Organization:

1) Two- 30x30 with a dividing line in the middle

2) 4 teams each has own channel

3) attackers have ball

4) Defenders start in the opposite side as shown

Instructions:

1) Attacker dribbles to the blue line and performs turn

2) Defender starts running toward attacker once he has broken the blue line

3) Attacker wins if he is first to the starting line

4) Defender wins if he tags attacker before he gets to line

Coaching Points:

1) 1 touch to turn

2) Ronaldo touch after you turn to speed up

3) Move/Turn (slow down) and accelarate

4) Direction and distance of touch based on next action

Progressions:

Player waiting holds 2 bids of different color.

When attacker starts, 3rd players holds one of the bids up

Attacker must scream what color it is before performing turn

Organization:

1) 4v4

2) 2 jokers outside lines

3) 3 mini goals per team

Instructions:

1) Regular game

2) Goals in middle goal = 5

3) Working on recognizing when to use turn

EX- If one mini goal is cover turn and find other side

Coaching Points:

1) Shape: Def - Compact to protect middle goal specially

2) Possession and penetration look to attack easier goal

Not forcing the play

3) Support 1st attacker
