Set Up:
3 cones 15 yards in between each. "Captain" at far end, 3 players with a ball at opposite end.
Instructions:
1st person in line plays to "captain", checks at an angle side on and checks over shoulder, receives back and plays to last person in line. Keep captain and switch or have players move from 1-2-3-1. Players not checking should, remediate with next player in line 1 holding up number of fingers.
Progressions:
P1 - If second person holds up left hand, double pass with #3, spin off and in.
P2 - If second person holds up right hand, receive back foot and play to end of #1 with front foot or toe poke.
Coaching Points:
Vision, angled runs, looks over shoulder, quality of pass, use of front foot passing.

Angled Passing
Set Up:
5 cones set on an angle, 20 yards apart (long) and 10 yards wide of center line. Same set up on the way back.
Instructions:
Pass and follow, dribble straight to an angled pass, 2 groups going opposite direction. Once a player reaches the end they move the other side. Look to use outside of near foot and do not to next player.
Progressions:
P1 - Start forward of cone and check back.
P2 - Check back, pretend defender follows, execute double pass and go.
P3 - Choose option.
Coaching Points:
Angled check, side on, looks over shoulder, show where you want it, vary near and far foot, use of front foot (deceptive).

4v4
Set Up:
30 x 30 yard area divided vertically in half. Adjust for age and ability.
Instructions:
4v4 game to 4 goals, may not pass the ball to someone in the same corridor. Use 4 wide neutral player who are limited to 1-2 touches.
Progressions:
P1 - May play back in own corridor.
P2 - Open grid and play 6v6.
Coaching Points:
Angled passes, sideways runs, checking runs, early support, far foot no pressure, near foot pressure, front foot passing, toe poke.

1v1 Penalty shoot out
Set Up:
18 yard box, 5-6 players with a ball spread around the 18. One from each team in the middle.
Instructions:
Attacking player checks to any server and calls for ball, look to score quickly. Defender must play from behind. Rotate all players and add up team total to avoid punishment.
Coaching Points:
Checking runs, creating space, blind runs, deception, shooting space, toe poke, quality of strike, look to posts.

Warm Up
Set Up:
Use explanded center circle. Divide team into two groups.
Instructions:
Half of players start inside the circle with a ball. Other group is spread around circle without a ball. Players on the inside passes to outside play, checks at an angle and receives ball back (sideways on). Work back to middle and find next open option.
Progressions:
P1 - Alternate feet, front foot, toe poke.
P2 - Pretend defender follows, use far foot. Give and spin off.
P3 - Pretend defender follows, let ball run.
Coaching Points:
Angled check, side on, looks over shoulder, show where you want it, vary near and far foot, use of front foot (deceptive).
