50*30 grid divided into thirds
Payers play 4v4/5v5 plus a neutral in middle third. After 3 passes team in possession tries to play teammate through and they must finish within three seconds. Player is offside f they are in attacking third before ball is played
Progression 1: one defender is allowed to make a recovery run
Progression 2: a second attacker can join to make it a 2v1 but still looking to finish quickly
Main Points:
Speed of play - Players should look to play accurate and weighted passes quickly in order to combine and penetrate into the final third to create goalscoring opportunities.
Different combinations - Team in possession to use wall passes, penetrating passes, 1-2's, overlaps, underlaps and switches of play to combine.
Width and depth to make pitch big - In possession, the team need movement and shape to unbalance the opposition and link up to combine, with support around, ahead and behind the ball.
