Soccer Buds

Week 1: Our Park Adventure!

Greeting: Welcome all children and parents to Soccer Buds. Before we begin our adventure, we have to start our day the right way! Wake up, make our bed, brush our teeth, and hop in the car to get to the park. 

Section 1: 

Equipment Needed: Multi Colored Discs, mini balls

a. Parent's/Children run to a colored disc on command from coach

 Switch colors on command

b. pick up your ball, and place on colored disc

c. Parent/child dribble ball to different colored disc

d. Parent runs from disc, child follows with ball in hand, throws ball to parent.

Section 2: Exploring the Park.

Time for the parents and children to explore our park. Each side of our park has an activity. Coach will explain each activity and allow Parents/Children to explore. 

 a. The Forest

    1. Soccer Sticks arranged randomly, players have to run through the Trees to get to the other side.

 b. The Cave

    1. Using a tunnel, children explore the cave, crawling through to get to the other side

 c. Lily Pads

    1. Using floor markers or pads, players have to cross the pond by hopping on the lily pads

       a. Players jump and land on both feet.

 d. Petting Zoo

    1. Our park has a special petting zoo area. Using mini soccer balls, players use their feet to tap the ball (petting the animal) gently.

Section 3

a. Spread balls around field, child gets ball, puts in net - Park themed

b. Parent has ball, child must take from parent, put in net - Park themed

c. Balls in corner, Parent/Child run to each corner to get a ball, dribble 1 ball into each goal
