Rondo/Technical

Pressing as a team:

How we play:

The team in possession are trying to transfer the ball from one half of the pitch to the other through the middle player.

Reds:

They must make a minimum of 2 passes before they can transfer

If they make 6 passes, then they must transfer down the line and don’t get a point

Blues

The defending team would get a point in this case as they have forced the team wide

Coaching considerations

Blues: When to press

Cover and balance - why-when-where-how?

Pressure on the ball- why-when-where-how?

Reds:

Support- angle/distance

Movement-timing/speed

Before/when/after - in possession
