Game 6v4 (20 mins)

Organization:

  • 6v4 organization
  • 4 rounds 5minX1min
  • Grey team: Jacob/Marcin/Andrew, Mateo, Landon, Arie, Daniel/Peter, Oscar/Liam
  • Orange team: Brandon, Geison, Alexander, Tor / Lenin, Rome, Mateusz, Matthew

Instructions:

  • It starts with the defender passing to the goalkeeper and the goal will be to finish in mini-goals or dribble between them.
  • The opposing team must press and if it recovers the ball, finish in the big goal.
  • Three balls per set.

Coaching Points:

  • Identify when to beat pressure through passing and when through dribbling.
  • Do not force progression if there is no option to advance.
  • Body shape to receive and pass or receive and dribble.

Instructions:

  • It starts with a pass to the goalkeeper and the team will aim to advance through the pass or dribble to the end zone to finish.
  • The central zone will be activated through the pass or when a player dribbles in to attract pressure.
  • If the opposing team recovers the ball, it must be vertical and finish on goal.

Coaching Points:

  • Identify when to beat pressure through passing and when through dribbling.
  • Attract pressure to decide the next action.
