This is a sharp passing sequence, with some 1 touch layoffs with quick movement off the ball.
The first player opens up their body to receive the pass & then its about quick combinations.
Encourage players to really push themselves out of their comfort zone in terms of their speed of play to get the most out of the exercise.
Again, you can adjust the size of the space & use a bigger area so players have to pass the ball firmer & also sprint longer distances.
Organization:
20' Length, 20' width area.
Equipment needed:
4 marker cones, soccer balls & 6 players per area.
Explanation:
Player 1 passes and follows their pass to player 2.
Player 2 accepts the pass by opening their body for a quarter turn, (demonstrate), passes to player 3 and follows their pass.
Player 3 accepts the pass by laying the ball off for player 2 to pass to player 4.
Player 4 accepts the pass as a directional first touch, carries the ball with their laces, their head up & passes back to the start.

Organization:
20'X15' Area.
Equipment needed:
5 cones, 1 soccer ball per area & at least 7 players.
Explanation:
Focus is primarily on quick feet, short sharp passing & body shape.
Player 1 passes to 2 & follows their pass.
Each player follows their pass through 1-5.
Coaching points:
Ready position.
Shoulder check.
Directional first touches.
Quality of first touches.
Speed of play.
Progressions:
Make the area bigger.
Remove player 5 from the activity. Player 4 will carry to & around the cone, then pass back to 1.

Organization:
20' length & 15' wide area.
Equipment needed:
6 cones to mark the area, soccer balls & at least 8 players per area.
Explanation:
Players play a pass through 1-5.
The middle players once they lay the ball off to the runner must go to where the runner came from.
(#2 takes #3 spot & #5 replaces #6).
Coaching points:
Communication among players.
Ready position.
Firm passes.
Directional layoff passes.
Quality first touches.
Speed of play.
Passing activity #4 is another quick passing sequence, with a combination on 1 & 2 touch play.
The area can be adjusted based on the level of your players, with the larger space again requiring & more in terms of running distances.
Players should be looking to pass the ball very firmly particularly to the two middle players who only have 1 touch to set the pass.

#5 is a combination of 2 rectangles. 1 larger on the outside & 1 smaller in the middle.
This is another activity requiring quick combination play, with focus on first touch.
Players follow their pass, but need to concentrate at all times.
Organization:
30' length 20' width.
Equipment needed:
8 cones, soccer balls & at least 9 players.
Explanation:
Every player follows their touch when they play.
Player 1 passes to player 2.
Player 2 lays a directional touch off to player 3.
Player 3 plays a pass to player 4.
Player 4 plays a longer pass back in to player 5.
Player 5 lays a directional pass back to player 2.
Player 2 passes out to player 6.
Player 6 plays back in to player 7.
Player 7 lays off for player 5.
Player 5 plays back out to player 8.
Player 8 plays a long pass in to player 3.
Player 3 back to start.
Coaching points:
Speed of play.
Communication.
Take a touch before you play.
Accepting passes directionally.
Speed of play, after you pass, follow quickly.
Ready shape and position to accept passes.
Quality first touches.
Keep your head up.
Firm passes.

Organization:
20' length, 15' width area.

Explanation:
The first version is a simple pass & layoff by the middle players. Then we add a bit more by making the first run inverted or diagonal, just to change things up a bit.
Play starts at one end. Players in the middle layoff. Players accept passes on the run and switch with the players on the opposite side. Middle players stay until switched out.
Coaching points:
Firm passes.
Outside foot to pass.
Communication.
Ready position when receiving passes.
Directional first touch.
Timing of runs.
Progression:
Using the same set up, you can adjust the size of the space & use a bigger area to work on firmer passing & more fitness in terms of sprint distance.
