Rondo relay (20 mins)

Organisation:

Set up 2 x 10x10yd areas with a 15yd gab between them.

Minimum of 10 balls available

Players split into 2 teams



Instructions:

Teams play 4v1 in each area. As soon as the defending player wins the ball he takes the ball back to his area and another team mate races over to the other side to press, when a ball is won the coach feeds another ball into the area ready for the advancing defender to press.

Once all players in a team have one the ball (5 balls in total) and made it back to their own side they have wo the game.



Progressions:

In larger groups work in pairs and send two defenders at a time.

Make the boxes larger or smaller to suit ability level and numbers.

Limit the amount of touches each player is allowed to take to increase the difficulty for players in possession.
