Theme : Godndi Sinya (Thief vs Police)
Length of game: 30 - 45 minutes
Organization/Rules: Divide the participants into two, with each team standing at the baseline. The game begins when team A (Police) is in possession of the ball. Team B ( Thieves) will run across the field trying to steal the cones from team A. A member of team A will try to chase the thief before reaching the touchline of their team. If the thief is caught, the cone is returned and the thief is out, reduce the players from the thief team, incase the thief is not caught, the police is out. In the second half, the team change roles
Sample Discussion Questions: How was the game?. How did you feel when you were the one chasing, how about when you were being chased
Possible Progressions / Variations: Play again, but this time, add two footballs for the thief and the police have to dribble. They will have to dribble the ball as they chase or being chased.
Do we always have the police chase thieves in our community? Whom do you think the people being chased represent in the community?. Who had the difficult job between the two?
What can we / community do to keep the community safe?.
