3v2 / 3v3 to Goal (20 mins)

Organisation:

- Multiple players in the four corners of the exercise, with one player from each team at the halfway line.

- #2 plays a pass into the #7 to start the play. The #3 then joins the play with the opposition #4 & #5 defending to create a 3v2 to goal.

- Play until the ball is out of bounds. If the defending team win possession they can immediately play to their player at halfway to create a 3v3.

- Players stay in their line to keep tactical consistency (position specific exercise).

Coaching Points:

- Movement off the ball and positional rotation to create gaps to penetrate.

- Fullbacks should look to overlap, combine and offer third man runs.

- Transition after regaining possession needs to be fast and direct.
