Passing in Tight Areas
This session focusses on the players abaility to control the ball and be able to play comfortably in restricted areas.
Coaching Points - creating space, movement off the ball, moving the ball quickly, limited touches to play, speed of play, scanning and receing skills.

Playing in Tight Areas
6 grids, 1 v 1 in each grid, 2 neutral players
The 2 neutrals can go in any grid and make 2 v 1 or 3 v 1 situations
After 3 passes in a grid play the ball into another grid, Repeat
Progression
Players can now swap grids, but all grids must be occupied
Decisions - pass ball or dribble into next grid?
Do you stay 1 v 1 or pass players on to a team mate

Playing in a Tight Area
Oranges play L to R, Purples play Top to Bottom, at the same time, one ball per team
Each team has 2 players on the outside of the square
Outside players bounce the ball back in
Progression
Outside players can only play ball back into the playe who passes to him
After playing the pass the end player will switch with the receiver

Playing in a Restricted Area
5 attackers v 4 defenders around the edge of the penalty area
Attackers try to combine in marked area and look to break the defensive line to score
The ball needs to be plated around ot htrough defenders for attacker to run on to

Combination play, quick passing, clever movement, creating space, scanning, 1-2s, overlaps, tempo.

Passing Within In a Tight Area
Play on a small pitch, 2 goals and a half way line, aach team plays within their own half
Once 5 passes have been completed they can shoot at the opposition goal.

Conditioned Play - Initially play game in a smaller tha ususal area, working on the coaching points from the previous parts of the session
