Objective
Provide players with opportunities to recognise moments to pressure the opponent and attempt to win the ball when defending.
Organisation
25x30 yard grid.
Two target players positioned on opposite end lines.
Play 3v3 or 4v4 inside the grid.
Teams attempt to pass the ball to their target player to score a point.
Target players return the ball to the scoring team who try and play into the other target player
Coach supplies balls for quick restarts.
Continuous play with minimal stoppages.
Condition
Teams score 1 point by passing to a target player.
If the defending team wins the ball, they immediately try to connect with the other target player.
Encourages players to press quickly and regain possession.

Develop players’ ability to pressure opponents, close space quickly, and attempt to win the ball in a small defending situation.
Organisation
Create multiple grids approximately 12x15 yards.
Play 2 attackers vs 2 defenders inside each grid.
Attackers start with the ball and attempt to maintain possession.
Defenders attempt to win the ball.
Multiple grids run simultaneously to maximise player involvement.
Coach provides new balls when the ball leaves the grid.
Condition
Attackers attempt to complete three passes to score a point or score in the mini goal in the third set.
Defenders attempt to win the ball and dribble out of the grid to score a point.
After a point is scored, teams reset and play continues.
Players rotate roles every 60–90 seconds.

Organisation
25x30 yard pitch.
Create a 2–3 yard end zone at each end of the field.
Play 4v4 inside the main playing area.
Teams score by dribbling the ball into the opponent’s end zone under control.
Coach serves the ball to start play.
Extra balls placed beside the field for quick restarts.
Condition
A team scores 1 point by dribbling the ball into the opponent’s end zone.
If the defending team wins the ball, they immediately attempt to attack the opposite end zone.
Encourages players to pressure quickly and regain possession.

Physical Literacy (10 mins)
Objective
Develop acceleration, agility, and reaction speed while encouraging players to quickly close space and chase an opponent.
Organisation
Create multiple 10x15 yard channels.
Players work in pairs.
One player starts with a ball (attacker).
The second player starts 2–3 yards behind without a ball (defender).
A mini goal is placed at the end of each channel.
Multiple channels run simultaneously.
Condition
On the coach’s signal, the attacker dribbles toward the goal attempting to score.
The defender must react quickly and chase to win the ball or block the shot.
If the defender wins the ball they dribble out of the channel.
Players switch roles after each attempt.
Red must cross white end line before they can score

Reduce the starting distance between attacker and defender
Add a second attacker after the initial dribble
