3v2 to goal
Organisation
Defenders start 40 yards from goal against front 3. Central attacker drops unchallenged into square. urns and sets up 3v2 to goal.If defenders win the ball back play to small goals.
Progression
1) defender can come into box but this enables another midfielder to join in to make 4v2.
2) Add extra defender coming from midfield area after 3rd pass
Coach
- timing and angle of turn
- out to in run from wide players
- wide player move up onto defensive line when striker drops deep
- less passes, be direct, attempts on goal

Small sided game
Organisation
Teams line up 1-3-3. Free area 18 x6 in the middle of the field. Central attacker can drop into this area to receive unchallenged, turn and create 3v3 to goal. Players can't stand in area, they must arrive onto a pass into area.
Progression
defender can follow attacker into zone but this triggers 4v3 as another team mate can join in
Coach
1) Coming and angle of run to receive
2) movement of wide players when CF drops deep (go higher)
3) can wide players stretch defenders and run out to in
4) up, back and through if defender follows

Organisation
Players in groups of 6. Player 1 passes to player 2 who receives on the half turn and plays to next player in his line. Practise continues in opposite direction.
Coaching Points
1) check shoulder
2) Receive at an angle
3) arrive on pass - don't be stood still
4) use both feet
Competition
Players at top end pass into box for players from opposite end who turn and pass into mini goals. Miss target get the ball. Swap groups when all the balls are in goals.
