Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Creating overload (Start Time: 2025-03-27 17:00:00)
Description
Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
10 players , 20 x 30 pitch grid, 2 goal posts , 8 balls.
pitch was set up into 30m x 20m with markers across the middle of the field to separate the field into two 15m halves.
the goals was set up in place and this pitch was used through out the entire session without changing layout or removing any equipment.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
progression - ball can be dribbled or passed into other grid.
regression - first pass is uncontested
Challenges, Conditions or Targets: play starts at GK and play the ball into teammate. he can then move into grid to support and create an overload the team tries to move forward but can only cross into the other grid to create the overload going forward after a pass was made into the second group of players. players out of possession cannot move backwards into other grids to support.

Progression - players on the outside may step into the field of play after receiving a pass to create an overload without restriction to the players
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
teams must keep possession of the ball and try to move from 1 end of the pitch to the other. using players on the outside as support to create an overload.
IN ATTACK
Proper passing and controlling technique is imperative for teams in possession. movement off the ball into spaces (width and length of the grid).
IN DEFENCE
Defenders must stay compact and support each other .
