Progression: Player A can call cone colour or bib colour, while the two players at the opposite end can swap sides (and/or swap cones) while the middle player is passing to the opposite end, this means the middle player has to make a quick decision not really knowing the position of the bib/cone colours. 90 sec's and rotate; when Player A call a bib colour the other (of the two) end players comes in as a passive defender - Player A calling "Man On" rather than "Turn"
Coaching Points: Clear/loud instruction "YELLOW - TURN/MAN ON "; middle player come to the ball to create space behind you; positioning to receive the ball, open body, touch with foot closer to direction of next pass; speed of turn - try different turns, outside foot turn; first touch out of feet to set up next pass; check over shoulder before receiving if possible.
Perception: Where is space to take firsttouch/turn into, where are support players/bouncers: Decision: whichdirection to take a first touch, best turn based on how the ball is received, what is the correct pass to make which support player to pass to;Execution weight direction of first touch and pass, movementinto space to receive the ball

Area; 20 x 20. Players: 8 - 16, divided into two teams. 10 Players 5 v 3 used here - could be 6v4
Explanation: Each team (5) has a player at each end and three middle players, one team is playing vertically the other horizontally. Initially each team has a ball and transitioning the ball from one end to the other as quickly as possible each person in the middle must touch the ball at least one in each transition, person passing into an endline player replaces them and the endline player enters the playing area. Interference caused by other team dictates first touch and passing decisions when receiving ball.

Progression: Now teams compete 5 v 3 three central + two end players when in possession of the ball, endline players can move across the sidelines and can not defend not be defended. Points are scored by moving the ball from one endline to the other without losing possession. Rotate middle players allow teams to interchange the end players when in possession during play.
Perception: scanning for where support players are; where are defenders and space for first touch; Decision: Emphasis on quick decision making with first touch; finding a clean passing lane, ideally directly from on end to the other or through the middle players; first time pass possible?. Execution: keeping ball away from defenders, accuracy/weight of pass
Step Up/Progression: reduce area size; limit touches Step Down: increase area; to score move the ball from one endline to the other; Attacking team can add an extra endline player to the middle to create 4v3 in middle

Middle player must work each end of the middle third presenting to receive the ball each time, must demand ball from end players. Continue for 90 sec then rotate players.
Step Up: introduce passive defender, must pass to opposite of colour called. Step Down: reduce area size, shorter passes
