Every player has a ball.
Blue player dribbles to the goal and shoots. Once he shoots that is the trigger for the red player to dribble to the goal and shoot. As soon as the blue player had taken their shot they must turn and recover to try and tackle the red player or prevent them from scoring.
This is a continuous sequence.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Introduce a zone they must shoot from to increase/ decrease the distance of their recovery run and chances of success.
Shorten pitch to increase chances of success.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Can we react quickly to recover.
Instead of running vertically to chase, can we run diagonally to shorten distance and be in a better position.

Blue team go 2v1 and Red.
As soon as the Blue player with the ball takes their first touch, this triggers a recovery support run from a Red player in queue A.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Increase/ decrease distances to increase difficulty or chances of success.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Can defender B hold up the attack to allow more time for recovery of A.

SSG 5V5
One player from each team has to stay in the attacking zone.
When the ball is passed in to the attacker (example A)- A player from the defending team must must make a recovery run to defend (example B)
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Once attacker receives the ball, additional Blue players can support and Red players can defend.

Introduction recovery run (10 mins)
Red player dribbles to blue and stops the ball in front of them.
Simultaneously - Blue dribbles to red and performs same task. Red player runs around cone and then tries to beat the blue player back to the red queue.
This will then be a continued exercise.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Lengthen or shorten the distance between cones to increase/ decrease chances of success.
Move the run around cone closer or further away to increase/ decrease difficulty.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Players must try to beat their target player to the next queue.
Players must not try to tackle each other.
