The ball will be played in from the assistant coach on the far side of the pitch to the Red Team. Red Team to try and score in the end zone by receiving a pass in the area. Head coach will be roaming to give feedback to players.
Principles:
- The blue team will stay compact to try to win the ball before the red team gets into the end zone.
- Stay compact
- Red team CDM's to coordinate, never staying flat
- CAM for red will need to
Objective:
- Win the ball back before red can score in the end zone with a through or over the top ball pass
- staying compact on defence
- blocking and reading the passing lanes through zone 2 & 3
- Blue is trying to break down red, trying to score
Major Points:
- Win the ball
- MID & DEF try not to get dragged out wide, allowing for passing lanes to open up in the middle
- Staying Compact when out of possession
- CDM's dont be flat, always alternating
- keeping the shape when the ball is switched
- Mainly red attackers to press high in zone 3 & 2, MID should not high press
- if the ball switches, CAM to drop in between the 2 CDM's
