1v1 inside.

First we start with shadow marking.

Attacker needs to be aware where the defender is and decide how to control and where to control to, and pass to the other side.

Progression:

Defender will tackle now or high pressure.

Attacker has to make decision quickly - how to control and where.

1) Need to check where the defender is - whether if you can half turn or not.

2) Try to control with far foot and pass it to the other side with 2 touches.

3) Need to recognise the space, and try to control the ball into the space to pass the ball to the other side.

Step Up Game Sim (20 mins)

SetUp

·        40m x 30m grid.

·        2 teams.

·        4 goals.

·        Balls placed at each end between goals.

Explanation

To score a goal a 1 v 1 must be executed. The team who scores is rewarded by restarting play from their end.

Progression

The number of players taken on before you score a goal determines how many points are awarded, eg. 3x 1 v 1’s performed followed by a goal = 3 points 2x 1 v 1’sfollowed by a goal = 2 points and so on. Add competition eg first team to 10points wins.
