Football Problem
We don't have effective combinations playing out from the back due to lack of options
Session Objective
The objective in this session is to improve the teams combination play by creating more passing options when playing out from the back
Organisation
5 V 3 in 30 x 30 grid as shown. the 3 & 4 for the blue team always start with the ball, the blue team need to ensure that they have three options to play the ball to all the time through the movement off the ball by supporting players. for the blue team to get a point they must pass the ball to the blue 10 over the grid line. For the red team to get a point they must play the ball across the opposition grid line through any red player
Progression
limit blue team to two touches
Team Task
Blue to ensure they have three passing options all the time so they can creat combinations playing out. Red team to stay compact and work together to get the ball back.
Player Tasks
2 & 5 blue to ensure they are working the sideline both low and high depending on ball position so they are always available. 10, 3 & 4 blue to make sure they are moving to the side where the ball is in the grid to ensure they are an option.
Coaches Cues
Are 6, 8 & 10 blue making runs to receive the ball. Are the red team communicating to stay compact. are the other blue team completing player tasks correctly

Session Objective
The objective in this session is to improve the teams combination play by creating more passing options when playing out from the back
Organisation
8 V 6 in grid as shown. The blue team are continuing from the positioning game by ensuring they have three options to pass the ball to at all times to create combinations playing out from the back. The blue team gets a point when the dribble the ball through any set of the cones. When the red team get the ball they are to try and score as quick as possible
Progression
Blue team limited to three touches. Red team five seconds to score and must play as direct to goal as possible. Only 2, 5 & 9 can score for the blue
Team Task
Blue to constantly move with the ball from side to side to ensure the back 4 have options near, far left and right. Red team to stay compact and in position as shown to ensure their defensive structure is organised
Player Tasks
6, 8 & 10 to continually move with the ball to ensure they are an option at all times when anyone of their defensive players have the ball.
Coaches Cues
Are players in a position to win the ball when they are in posession, are they facing to ensure they can play forward. are they creating space off the ball to ensure they can receive an early pass

Two teams with 3 players in the middle playing combinations from one side of the feild to the grid to the other only using their players
Progression
one touch passing, when you play the ball out of the grid you swap with that players as they play the ball in

movement off the ball to keep the passing channels open and do not over crowd areas

constant communication with other team mates and be spacially aware of the other teams ball and player movement to negate interferance
