Game instructions:

  • The aim of the game is to pass the ball to your teammate in the opposition endzone, In this case, the blue team will have to get the ball to player A and the red team will have to get the ball to player B
  • You get 1 point if you pass the ball between the green cone to your teammate
  • The ball must go through the green cones and the player in the endzone must keep the ball within the end zone for the point to stand.
  • Both teams should try and stop the opposition from getting the ball between the cones
  • Only endzone players are allowed in the endzone no one else

  • For this drill, progression comes in decreasing the number of touches the final passer has to pass to player A or player B. You can start on having any touch then going to 3, 2, then 1 touch.
  • Progression will also come in decreasing the amount of time you can be in the final third without attempting a pass to player A or player B.
  • Progression can also be introduced in reducing the number of touches everyone can take from any touch to 3,2 then 1 touch.
Regression:
If things go unexpectedly and players are unable to do the standard edition of the exercise here are some regressions:
  • players defending are not allowed to tackle the opposition but only jockey and mark space
  • the whole area of the enzone will be eligible to be passed through not just the green endzone cones
  • players will no longer kick the ball but throw the ball to the player in the endzone, The rules will stay the same as if the ball was being kicked, however, the changes if this regression is used go as followed: If you have the ball in your hand you cannot move, defending players are not allowed to touch opponents only block passes and jockey, you can pass to player A and Player B through any part of the endzone lastly passes to player A and player B can not be extremely high in the air and must not be overhead height.
