This progression both groups line up at the same side. Player 1 with the ball plays the ball across to player 2 and they both work their way up the field playing passes back & forth through the gates. On reaching the end, they both sprint back down to the start on the outside with one on the ball and the other off.
Swap players over so they get to practice with both feet.

3v1 constant game. First team have 3 players break out from their goal line with the ball, the opposition send out 1 defender. The attacking team have to combine and score as quick as possible. Once scoring, the 3 players drop out and the defending team send out 2 players with a ball to link up with the previous defender and attack their oppoents goal, who in turn send out a single defender.
*If the defender manages to win the ball, they can attack their oppoents goal and stay out for the next attack from their team.
Progression: Increase difficulty 3v2
Coaching points:
- Drive out with ball.
- Create width.
- Create passing angles and options.
- Look to play the ball forward (play positive).

Objective
We work on directional possession with the involvement of GK's. The aim is to maximise the workload of the players.
Organisation
55x 55 yard area, mark out 6 zones. We play 7v7,8v8,9v9 etc. With two neutral GK's who are free to move into any of their 3 zones.
The first aim is to maintain possession and all players are limited to 3 touches. A point is scored by passing to one GK in one end and then playing to the opposite end to the other GK.(without being intercepted).GK's can use both hands and feet.
Progressions
-Add a halfway line and the whole attacking team are in attacking half before GK recieves the ball.
-Add certain amount of passess
-Add different coloured boxes where GK can only use feet in the red box and hands in the white box.
Coaching Points
- Ensure high tempo passing, quality of movemnt to maintain possession, timing of quality passing runs.
-Look at switching the play
-Good decsion making
-GK keeper must stay active and keep good movement
