The goals are now removed from the area and the teams are split into 4v4+3. The aim of the game is to combine 2 passes before playing to one of the Target Players at each end. If the team out of possession regain the ball they can start by scoring at whichever end they choose.

The practice is set up with a 3v3 in the End Zone, plus 2 Target Players for the Reds and a 1v1 + GK in the penalty area.
In this game the Red's objective is to try and maintain possession, making 2 passes before transferring side to side (#2/3 or #7/11). If the ball is played to a Target Player they can drive in and rotate with the nearest central player. They may also use their CB to link one of their passes so he must work on getting himself free from the #9.
If the Blue team regain possession they try to break as quickly as possible via a pass to the #9 or a through ball to a midfielder. They then play 2v1 and try to score. If the CB or GK regain possession they quickly play into midfield and the game continues. If the ball goes out of play one of the Target Players restarts the game as quickly as possible.
Rotate roles/team objectives.
To progress, allow a recovering defender to speed up the attack and improve decisions under pressure.
Now, if the Blues start and attack but the Reds manage to win the ball (CB/GK) they can break out and try to score in the two side goals. Again, if the ball goes out of play the teams reset their positions and the Target Player starts the game.
Finally, move into free play.

Practice 1
The players split into 4 teams on two small but wide pitches (3v3 & 2v2+1).
They play the "1 up" game. If their side is a goal ahead they must maintain possession and cannot score again until they lose their lead.
