Duck Tails
Game starts with every player with a ball at there feet inside the 4v4 pitch, every players starts with a bib down the back of there shorts to simulate a Ducks Tail. The idea of the game is for players is while keeping control of there ball there also having to protect there Duck Tail, if a player loses there tail , they have to sit on the side of the pitch
Coaching Points: Decision Making - Players have to decide when close control needed and when bigger touches are needed to get away from other players. Scanning- Players have to constantly keep there heads up to look to avoid losing there tails but also to find spaces to escape into. Use of body - Players have to use there bodies to protect there tail & ball from opposition. Technique - Players constantly under pressure from players trying to steal there tails.

Mixed Skills Drill (20 mins)
Mixed Skills Drill - Both Feet
Players to stand in straight lines as above , every player to have a ball.
Players have to do the skill shouted by the coach until he blows the whistle, when the whistle blows, players have to stop the ball dead and then move one space towards coach, player closest the coach move to furthest away position in his line. When the players move to there new space they instantly start doing the skill previously done , when all players back at starting position the skill changes.
Skills - Toe taps, Scissors, Shuffles, Step Overs, Shuffle Stops , Stop Starts & Take Stops
All skills have been taught before either at sessions or on home assignment so players have know the very basics of the skill & the idea is to build a little fluidity to the movement.
