Organization: 20 by 15 area with a 7 by 7 area in the middle, 3 Teams of 5,
Instructions:
- Players play 5v5 with one defending team in the middle box.
- Defending team sends one player in to defend.
- After three passes attacking team passes the ball through the open channels located along the sides of the grid for a point.
- If team loses the ball they become the defending team and the defending team takes their place as the attacking team. If the pass is successful play continues and defending team send in a new defender on the opposite side.
- First team to 3 points wins
Rotation for 4 teams: Team that loses the ball becomes defending team in the box, Defending team goes out as the next team up, Team that is out moves into the empty grid of the team who lost the ball.
Coaching Points:
- Draw a line with your middle of your foot to where you want your touch to go
- Body like a bench ( allows for body to stay open and touch to go out of pressure)
- Look to break lines ( Play to lead foot)
- Where the ball comes from, defenders come from. ( Play out of pressure, where is the space?)
Progressions:
- Ball has to be passed to target player before scoring
- Two touches only
- One touch when passing the ball through gates
- Send two defenders in. Defenders have to get possession of the ball

Set up:
5v5 / 4v4 game or 4v4 / 5v5 kings court
Instructions
- Focus on switching the point of attack to play forward
- Encourage coaching points from possession exercise
- Switch from neutral to neutral = 1 point
- Goal = 2 points
- First to 5 points win
- Attack:
- Spacing in possession (Don't crowd the ball - Width & Depth)
- Look Far when passing (Depth, If you can see your target, you can see all available options)
- Interchange positions to get open. (2-1-2 is the structure but players move in and out of positions (Mobility)
Values: Courage
- Defence:
- Defend within the structure (Diamond Shape - Close the middle first)
- Delay progression of the ball by standing in passing lanes (banana run when defending outside areas)
- Step forward and pressure passes inside the area
- Correct attitude in defending (Aggressive, Press, Intercept, Tackle)

SAQ - One touch pass (10 mins)
1) Jump in between cones with right foot.
- Land in bend and pause (Bend meaning bend your knees to increase balance)
- Sprint with left foot driving over last cone after jumps
- Players walk back to regain energy
* Repeat with left foot
2) Shuffle through cones, two feet in between cones, push off with your right foot and come back through diagonally, two feet to the left inside cones, push off diagonally with your left foot and repeat
3) Two feet through the cones, Imaginary pass with strong foot, go back through the same set of cones and repeat x5
* Progression one touch the ball back to server, repeating same pattern 5 times then switch with next person in line.
- Open up foot to 90 degrees (Middle of your foot should be lined up to the target)
- Planted foot to the target
- Motion through the ball to follow through to target (Draw a line with middle of foot)
4) Two feet through the cones, receive ball from the server, one touch pass back with strong foot, go back through the same set of cones, move up to the next set of cones and one touch pass. Repeat until the last pass then sprint to cone.
*Can progress through repeated practices to weak foot
- Open up foot to 90 degrees (Middle of your foot should be lined up to the target)
- Planted foot to the target
- Motion through the ball to follow through to target (Draw a line with middle of foot)
- Weight of pass (As distance increases, increase weight of pass. As distance decreased, decrease weight of pass)
