8v8v8 possession

A possession game in a 30-yard by 40-yard grid with a center line with 8v8/6v6 in the grid and the third team of 8/6 standing on the line around the grid. 4 players from each team in each half of the grid. The players around the grid have 1-2 touches. The players in the grid can have restrictions but the main objectives are: Offense: For an attacking/possession emphasis the players try to pass the ball across the midline. Defense: For defensive emphasis, the players work to avoid passes that split defenders.

Midfield point of attack (25 mins)

Midfield Point of Attack

40x60 grid with 3 sets of goals placed along each end. Play a game of 6v6 or 8v8 depending on numbers with each team defending their respective 3 goals and attacking the opponent's 3 goals. 2 points awarded for goals scored on outside goals and 1 point awarded to goals scored on center goal.

CPs: Look for players to have their head on a swivel to be aware of options to the right and left. Play the way you are facing whenever possible. Strive to use more width than length, ie switching the field of play.
