GETTING INTO THE BOX TO SCORE FROM CROSSES (20 mins)
Getting Into The Box & Scoring From Crosses: OVERLAP TO CROSS
The session focuses on the ability of the players to score from crosses and includes three crossing & finishing practices that will help the players capitalise on these situations.
The practices are simple and provide objectives for the wide players to get crosses into the box and midfielders/attackers to get into the box and finish.
The coach passes the ball to the two midfield/attacking players.
The players must combine and then pass out wide to the full-back/wide player.
The wide player dribbles inside and allows the full-back to overlap. The wide player then passes diagonally down the line and into the full-back's path.
The wide player crosses for the two midfielders to score a goal.
