4v4 (+3) (15 mins)
Can you encourage passing options below, around and through?
Below - be a bounce pass option back inside (4v2)
Below-to-Around - look to progress first touch takes you beyond halfway/pass around (complete 3rd man run)
Around - find passing lane not blocked by central link player, maintain height and width for long pass option
Through - central link player be patient and maintain central space - look to receive between defenders (blindside if you can!) Be positive in possession - can you play forward? Move the ball quickly can you look for Up-Back-Through, In-Out-In, 3rd man concept to progress, retain possession with numerical superiority.
Take up a position whereby you can see 3 corners of the pitch - try not to block a teammates passing lane. Can you pass from central to wide to create space centrally? Can you pass up and back to attract defenders and create space behind.
Look to use 3rd man runs to progress In-Out
Look to use Up-Back-Through/Over once space in behind
Other ways to attract pressure:
Slow pass speed - take up 'negative' body position
Defending Team;
Can you maintain shape?
Closest player pressures - show one way - second closest covers - can you pressure from an angle that blocks a passing lane
Speed of Transition - Change of Mentality
Stay compact - don't get split through the middle
