Screen 1 (15 mins)

Technical warm up: Aerial Balls

Players in the middle check to a player with the ball who tosses a ball in the air that the player must volley back. After a 60 seconds the players on the outside switch with the players on the outside.

Progressions: Change the technique ( Inside/outside of the foot, chest volley, headers, etc.) give the players in the middle a partner and they have to compete to win the ball and play it back to the outside player.

Coaching Points:

-Focus on proper technique

-When defenders get involved compete for the ball

Screen 2 (20 mins)

50/50 Challenges/creating 1v1s chances individually:

2 players start in the middle. One of the goalkeepers drop kicks the ball to the two of them. They have to fight to win the 50/50 ball then go straight to goal with the intent to score. If the defending player tackles the ball away the next group goes. Keep score and play 6 minute rounds.

Coaching Points:

-Challenge for the first ball

-Dont let the ball bounce

-Be direct when going to goal

-Finish with placement

Screen 3 (20 mins)

Creating 1v1 chances as a team/beating the offside trap.

Players play 3v3 + 1 the cones represent the offside line. If the players can play a penetrating pass in behind the back line the player gets a 1v1 to goal.

Coaching Points

-Time your runs

-Put proper weight on your through balls

-Put some desguise on your through balls

-Finish with PLACEMENT

-Bate the keeper (dont take too many touches, but dont take too few)
