Positioning game
Organisation / Explanation
13 outfield players + GK
GK and 1 field player acts as bouncers on the bye lines.
2 bouncers on sideline as per diagram.
Teams aim to keep possesion for long periods by using end and side bouncers.
Side bouncers remain fixed for first part of the drill.
Can only play the bouncer in your colours.
Step Up / Down
Each team must play both wide bouncers before hitting end bouncer.
To score a goal you must hit all four bouncers without losing the ball.
When you play a wide bouncer on your team, you switch places and become the bouncer.
Team Task:
Move opponents out of position by changing the point of attack
Player Tasks:
See the ball and as much of the field as possible
Pass the ball in the opposite direction to which it came to you.
If you can't play a bouncer, can you play someone who can
Can we always have left, right, central and far passing options
Coaches Cues
If the end bouncer has the ball can you see at least one team mate and one bouncer.
When we have the ball can we always have passing options on either side of the player with the ball.
If the ball comes from the left, can you take your first touch to the right and visa versa.
When we win it back can you pass to the player with the least defensive resistance.
