Thigh Taps (5 mins)

Warm Up - Thigh Taps (4x1 min rounds, switch partners)

 - Inside the Penalty area. 

 - In pairs the object of the game is to tap the opposition player on the back of the thigh to get a point.

1v1 Defending 1v2 Defending (20 mins)

1v1 Defending (20 mins)

*2 10x12 yard Grids* (Should only have 2/3 players in each line)

- Player A (Defender) starts with the ball.

- Player B (Attacker) receives the ball from Player A, and the objective is to dribble passed the opposite end line.

- Player A's objective is to pass the ball across to the attacker and then attempt to win the ball back as high up the field as possible.

If Player A wins the ball in Zone A they get 2 points, Zone B = 1 point, and if they win the ball and cross opposition goal they get 3 points.

Attackers get 2 points for crossing the line.

Steps to 1v1 Defending

- Close down the space as fast as possible (Touch Tight)

- Slow down when close, angle our Body and force them away from the middle/goal.

- Be Patient wait till they take a bad touch and win the ball

Progressions:

- Make it competition between teams

- 1v2 where the defender attempts to angle his run to block the pass, and force the defender away from the middle to the out of bounds.
