Quad-Burner

How it works

Split players into threes. Two players remain stationary at two corners of a 5 meter square box. The third active player will always receive a straight pass from the stationary players, and must always play a diagonal pass to the opposite stationary player. This means that the active player will need to work hard across the box in order to receive the next pass.

Aim for a series of one-minute sets, with as many successful passes between the group as possible before rotating roles.

Coaching Points

Forehand receipt- The active player should always attempt to receive the ball on the forehand, and to play the ball to the stationary player's forehand.

Connection on the pass - For this exercise it is imperative that players have a connection with the intended receiver before making the pass, or things will break down quickly.
