- team in possession look to play incisive pass THROUGH for team mate to run on to. Receiver must get into the end zone for it to count
- start again from opposite end if point is scored
- if possession is lost ball starts with other team
- no defenders can wait in the middle channel
- defenders can't go in def 1/2 until ball is played

- timing/angle of incisive run
- forward and central first

- position yourself to always be an option for a forward pass
- operate in different passing lines from CM
- look to receive passes that break opposition lines
- use combination play to beat defenders/break lines

- can you receive a ball that breaks oppo defensive lines. If not, can you receive to feet as high as possible
- time run so that you're breaking lines as ball is played
- if space on the outside for FB to overlap, can you come short between oppo CB & FB and between def-mid line

- can you receive with a pass that breaks a defensive line
- if you can't receive between, roll outside of oppo CM
- can you operate in different passing lines
- if FB is high and you can't receive centrally, drop into space left by FB to receive
- if we/you can't play forward, can you be in a position to receive and quickly switch play

- get high and wide as the ball starts coming around
- look to receive beyong marker
- if can't receive beyond, come short and receive to feet
- support winger in front or with run in behind
- if one goes, the other must stay
