If we have no goalkeepers, we can modify the drill by using smaller goals. The same rules apply, except now, the attacking cannot enter zones A or D until the ball has been played in there. Emphasis on getting in behind, staying onside and decision making on when the play in behind.
Could also have no mini goals, and give each team a point they can successfully play in behind and gain control of the ball. Play then restarts with team who scored

Each section is the width of penalty box, and length is around 17m
Rules:
When the goalkeeper has possession of the ball, the opposing players cannot attack and win the ball in their zone (zone A or zone D). One defender on goalkeepers team is allowed to enter zone A or D to collect the ball without pressure and play out
To keep realism in the practice, the 2 midfielders players on each team are allowed to go anywhere on the field. The 3 defenders and 2 attackers must stay in their half, as shown in Screen 2. When one team attacks, it encourages attackers to initally stay outside, try be outside and level of their defender to receive ball and attack. Ofcourse, attacking team is allowed to move into zones A and D to try and score. But once goalkeeper collect ball / ball goes out for goal kick, the attackers must move back into their respective zones (B or C)
No restrictions on where you can pass the ball. For example, someone in zone A is allowed to pass the ball to someone in zone C.
Progression: one of the three defenders is allowed to enter opposition half, only if they are able to dribble ball into the other half. Example, blue defender dribbles ball in zone C, is allowed to stay in there for the attack. This creates a 5v5 in the attacking half. Once play is dead, he returns back to zone B
Eventually can progress this to a normal game with no restrictions
If we have a more players, can introduce a back 4, with the width going all the way to touchline, or just before it.
