4v0 Progression:
*if numbers are off, you can add one player to make it 5v0 and have the players follow their pass instead of staying in one place
Set-up. 10x10 yard grids. Each sequence is 1.5 minutes.
1) Players receive and pass to their right. The only restriction is that players need to receive and pass with their right foot. (receive ball across body)
2) Same as 1 but not players have to do it going to their left
3) Competition: go back to right foot and make it a 45 second game where players are competing against other grids. Each completed pass is worth one point, but players need to adhere to other restrictions. If ball leaves grid, or if players break a restriction, a point is subtracted.

- 4 passes (younger) = 1 point
- Losing team has fitness (jumping jacks, burpess, pretty pink stars, donkey kicks, etc.)
- Olders can progress to playing 2 touches.
Game 2 (B): 3v3 + 2 targets on outside. Switch neutrals after each game. Play 3 games.
- 3 minute games

- Targets cannot play target directly.
- (Olders) Targets only have
- Optional (must complete two passes inside grid before playing target player).
Coaching Points: How can we speed the play up? (Answer: scan the field to know what to do before receiving the ball, limit your touches, take touch to where you want to go, hips open to field & receive ball across body) What must offensive team do when ball is played into target (game #2)? be an option and support! How can we connect more passes?

6v6 Game
Important we teach them our number system and formation. We play a GK-2-1-2. With two defenders, one CM and two forwards.
Make sure you give them set positions.
Let's create 3 channels to naturally give them width.
2-10/15 minute halves.
Progression:
Must connect 3 passes before scoring a goal.

3v1 Keep Away (15 mins)
3v1 Keep Away Warm-up Ladder: Grid: 10x10 Grid
Why? Perfect passing & receiving technique with pressure, movement off the ball and supporting angles.
Rules:
-3 minute games
-players count how many times they have gone in the middle. After two minutes the two players that have been in the middle most will move down a grid (unless they are in the last grid). And the two players who were in the least will move up a grid (unless they are in the top grid).
- Play 3 or 4 3 minute keep away games.
- If players complete more than 4 passes then they are in
Coaching Points: Offensive players must always ***receive ball across body with hips open to the field (when is the only time not to? if defender is on you, what can you do?) What should supporting players be doing? No one should ever be standing. Constant adjustments in their movements.
*** needs to be stressed every session, whenever we don't see it happening, we need to address it.
