PHASE OF PLAY 16 PLAYERS
DEFENDING WHEN OUT NUMBERED.
COACH THE RED TEAM. encourage my CB to mark goal side ball side, communication from my GK,
try and lock of one side of the pitch, make it difficult for the blue team to switch play easy.
as the ball moves across the pitch, the red team adjust there shape accordingly, getting them selfs in a good postion 1 to stop the blues playing between them and any forward passes & 2 to force play back wards at every opportunity
angles and distances between 2X CM & CB are very important, pressure cover balance,
encourage the reds to win the ball back and try to play an early forward pass to the yellow golden player,

PHASE OF PLAY DEFENDING WHEN OUT NUMBERED.
RED TEAM WILL DEFEND THE GOAL, BACK 4 WITH 2X HOLDING MIDFIELD PLAYERS,
I WILL COACH THE RED TEAM, ON PRESSURE,COVER BALANCE ANGLES AND DISTANCES.
if the reds win the ball they must find the yellow target players with in 3 passes, all passes must be to feet, nothing above head hight,
COACHING POINTS.... when to add pressure, when to drop off
slow pass. sideways pass. long ball. poor 1st touch.
I am expecting my back 4 to stay as a unit, not to get pulled out of position, my 2 holding midfielders must press at the right times but also be in a position to protect the back 4, triggers when to add pressure?
