Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Principles:
Maximize space (width and depth)
Create passing options (Triangles and diamonds)
Coaching Points:
Body orientation is open and positive
Option(s) always to break the line
Create passing options between, around, or over the opposition
Description:
Players are building out from the back in a 5v4 situation. Ball starts with the GK and focus team will look to build from the back utilizing the midfielders to connect and play forward. If the players connect with the #6/8 they want to look to go forward to creating passing options to score in goal. If focus 9 receives in the zone and scores that's 2 points if they score normally that's 1 point. The non-focus group will look to score the big goal after ball recovery, if they score each goal is worth 1 point. Furthermore, there will be two players in the zone, these players are only allowed to get out of the zone once the ball is on their side, if the ball is on the opposite side, players may shift over.
Work/Rest Ratio
3x5:00 min (2:00 min rest)
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
If too easy for the focus group we will add more players for non-focus group.
If too hard, I will remove the players
