Players work on defending principles in the press and counter press. When the team wins the ball, players develop counter attacking ideas. Players read the clues, when to press. (Bad touch, weak pass, ball played negative, players head is down).
Deny the opponent from playing forward;Deny dribble penetration;Get numbers behind the ball; Get Compact/ Stay Compact; Force inaccurate pass and or a turnover; Create numbers up situations to regain the ball; Win Ball and Transition into Attack. Counter attack Quickly with speed and numbers.LVSA Defending Principles: Immediate pressure on the ball, Deny forward progress, get compact and stay compact, create numbers up on Defense.
Coaching Points: Read the QUES of when to press or Delay;
Immediate pressure and chase on the ball. If player can't get Immediate pressure on the ball, player must delay and deny forward play. Allow team to transition quickly into defensive shape and get numbers behind the ball. Reorganize lines and get compact and stay compact.
Attacking counter attacking, attacking runs behind lines, receive ball facing forward.

Players start warm up with a 4v2 rondo.
Defending Players defend in pairs, denying the split pass, and give each other coverage, when ball is rotated. Defending players communicate and force the turn over.
Attacking players must move early to create space and time. 12 connected passes scores a goal. 2 touch restriction.
Players rotate after defensive team wins the ball, or if ball is played outside the grid.
