Organization:
Play to one goal-Field size is 30 yards x 44 yards (width of the penalty area). Teams are 6v6 (3+3 vs 3+3).
Activity:
3v3+3 to one goal in an extended penalty area. Yellow is defending against purple. When they win the ball, they must get it to any of the 3 light blue players and they then go offensive and the purple defends. Rotate the light blue team in.
Coaching Points:
-Immediate chase when losing the ball to try to win it back and be rewarded with shot/goal.
- When balls are play to flank...coach rotation of players to get open. Near post player recycles out so that another player can dash into near post area.
-Combination play...THIS IS A GREAT GAME TO TEACH THIS.
-Finishing (all types) and movement to get open for a shot
-Everything attacking!

6v6+2 in 50x44 field. Big goals with keepers.
Activity:
Start with two touches - go to one touch - finish unlimited. You may allow keeper to play two touch instead of one touch.
Coaching Points:
-Teach one touch soccer...refer back to linear exercise used in warm-up with emphasis on speed of play.
-Support as ball is moving
-Angles of support
-Players running in advance of the ball once support is achieved.
-Quality of balls played so that one touch soccer is possible
-Finishing - especially via one touch in the penalty area
-The goalkeeper has to be involved and be able to play-make.

Organization:
8v8 (4v4) to two big goals with keepers. Field size is 36 yards long x 44 yards wide.
Activity:
This is a finishing and crossing game. It is 4v4 with 4 teammates on the outside. The outside players on the attacking half can dribble in and create 3-goal options. The attacking player on the defensive half may play two touch but must serve into the penalty area.
Coaching Points:
-Wide players need to try to create goal scoring opportunities. They are not having a rest so must stay active and ready.
-Coach flank service options and runs in the box
-Coach finish choices - passing it in, driving it in, chipping it in, bending it in, heading it in.
-Fun game...enjoy and keep the excitement level up!
