SAQ 2
"There and Back"
Players start at point A
On coaches start, players race (Using line 1) by doing rainbows with one leg over cones
Players then race back (using line 2) again doing rainbows with opposite leg.
Players then sprint backwards to tall cones at point B
Players finish activity by sprinting forwards through finish line at C.
Progressions.
Use tall cones for Rainbows
Longer distance at B
Different activities on lines 1,2 and 3 such as sidesteps weaving in and out forwards and back

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
SAQ 3
'Mirrors'
Simple exercise where player 2 mirors the actions of Player 1
After each cone visit, Player 1 returns back to the starting tall cone in the middle before sprinting forwards, backwards and sideways around the next cone and back
Can player 2 quickly mirror the movement of Player 1
Progressions
Use a ball
Play a game where Player 1 makes the decision to either touch the cone or pick the cone up to lose their man.
If the cone is touched, they simply return back to the middle again, but if the cone is picked up by Player 1 then they must get it back to the middle and stack the cone on the tall cone before Player 2 can. Player 2 needs to watch carefully of whether or not Player 1 is just touching the cone or picking it up.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
SAQ 4
"Ghost"
Player 1 approaches Player 2 from behind going as close as the shaded area before deciding which tall cone to run for.
Player 2 must be on their toes ready for the player to make their choice and as soon as they are in sight, attempts to tag Player 1 before he /she gets to the tall cone.
Movement should be fluent with no hesitation before both players hit full speed in the chase.
Progression
Player 1 has ball and attempts to get to cone whilst Player 2 attempts to block them from doing so ensuring there are no tackles from the back. The aim would be for the player to block their run.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
SAQ 5
'Back and forth'
On coaches start, players race to cone 1, and back track (Backwards sprint) to cone A, then forwards onto cone 2 and so on and so forth.
Players must travel around the cone as per the diagram to get that sharp footwork action around the cone before changing direction of the body backwards/forwards.
Players will eventually get to cone 4 where they take a sharp turn to sprint forwards to the beginning and through the finish line to claim the winners point.
Progressions
Do as a side step so that players are facing each other
Do with ball
Do with player chasing - i.e. second player following same path behind them but setting off when player gets around cone No 1

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
SAQ 6
'Cone/Ball Transfer'
Player 1 starts at Line A with a tall cone in his hand and sprints to the opposite line B where he/she places the cone. As soon as the cone is placed on the floor at line B, Player 2 can then start by sprinting out to retrieve the cone at line B and take it back to its starting position placing it back on line A.
After Player 1 has placed the cone on the line B, he/she sprints to retrieve cone number 2 and repeats this at pace until all cones have been placed on line B.
Player 2 is running at pace to not only retireve the cone and place it back in the start position but also to catch up with player 1 to tag them. Tagging can only be done by player 2 when they are in the same path as player 1 and not when crossing paths i.e. if they have caught them up.
Progressions.
Do with ball making sure that the ball stops on the line under control and is not left rolling away.
Make line B into Line C (but with a steeper angle) so that the distances now become further and the cone/ball have to be placed at the side of the red cone.

SAQ 7
"Lose your opponent"
Players enter the box via the short arrows entrance and face up.
Player 1 uses sharp side to side movement whilst Player 2 mirrors this action. The aim is for Player 1 to make their decision on when to exit the box and get to the cone without being tagged by Player 2.
Player 2 must be sharp on their feet to stay in line as best possible with player 1 and both players can only carry out this action within the shaded areas inside the box. The sharpest feints will lose the opposition so agility and quickness is key.
When Player 1 makes the decision to exit, they cannot re-enter the box, they must then make it to the cone without being tagged. On the next round, players swap positions.
Progressions
Change opponent
Both Players have ball
