Session Objective:

Organisation:
- Create a 15 x 20 area split down the middle
- On one side of the middle line have 3 attackers and 1 defender
- On the opposite side have 1 attacker and 1 defender
- On the middle line have 1 defender
- Ball starts with the 3v1
Activity:
- Attackers in the 3v1 area move the ball attempting to create an opportunity to pass into the opposite area
- The central defender attempts to prevent the pass in to the opposite end
- Once the ball has been played in to the opposite zone, two players move in to that area to support the pass
- If a defender wins the ball they give their pinnie to the player that lost the ball and a new ball is played in by the coach
Coaching Points:
- First look forwards
- Create a shape to keep possession
- Move as the ball moves
- First touch away from pressure
- Quality of pass

- 4v4 + GK game
- First goal wins
- Winner stays on
Activity
- Winner stays on 4v4 game
- Encourage alert and pro active defending to prevent leaving the field
- Players not playing doing two touch passing in the spare space through a gate
Coach Emphasis
- Adjust as the ball moves
- Always a pivot
- Move the ball out of trouble as quick as possible
- Forwards where possible

Organisation:
- 1 player begins as the bounce player 20 yards from goal facing away
- Two players face the bounce player creating a triangle with their angles 5 yards away
- One player facing the bounce player has a ball
Activity:
- Player in possession passes to bounce player
- As the ball is played the player without the ball runs across the bounce player
- Bounce player passes the ball in to runners path
- Runner takes max two touches to drive in and finish
- Starting player continues their run around the bounce player to get any rebounds
Progression
- Starting player becomes a recovery defender and attempts to prevent the runners shot bjut must go around the bounce player first
Coaching Points:
- First touch in to space with speed
- Look at the ball as you shoot
- Follow up player try to read where the rebounds may fall

Organization
- Players pair off
- All pairs start with one player on the line and the other opposite 2 yards away facing each other
- The player on the line starts with the ball
- Create a line 15 yards behind the player without the ball
Actvity
- The player with the ball passes to the player without who controls it and ten moves back
- The player that started moves towards the ball and passes to the player without again
- This continues all the way to the 2nd line
- Roles reverse at the 2nd line all the way back to the start
- Give the players 1 practice round and then run two competitive rounds
Progression
- Players have to control with inside, outside, laces
- The server throws the ball for the player to control aerially with feet, thigh, chest
- The server throws the ball and the player has to return it to them in the air as they move together
This is a fun warm up with a chance for players to develop their receiving techniques while moving in ways that they may not normally.
