Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Hot Box (4v4)

Description

Set up

• 30yd x 20 yd box
• 10yd x 10yd box inside (hotbox)
• two mini goals on either side

Area can be made larger for older groups. Once set up, teams will attempt to play a small sided match where the area in the middle (hotbox) is off limits to players. The ball can be played through the area but a player cannot step in the box or loses possession. If the ball dies in the hotbox, then the other team not in possession is awarded with possession. Add constraints by limiting touches if the game becomes to easy.
