Mechanics)
Set up: 30 x40 yard box with 10 yard neutral box. 3 sets of bibs would be best.
1 +4 v 2 + 3 Defending
1. Attacking team plays the ball in the buildup 3 v 2. The central player cannot join the attack. After crossing midfield, the attacking team plays 4 v 3.
2. The defending team in the cone box attempts to cut down passing lanes to prevent through passes.
3. The defenders in the buildup attempt to win the ball and score. they cannot drop into the defensive half.
4. After each attacking/defending sequence, the team in possession will become the team in the middle defensive section after a change of possession. If there are three teams the defending team will exit and the next team will come on. If only two teams then the teams will simply rotate.
Adaptation
1. You can use teams of 3 or 2 based on your numbers. You would need to constrict the space.

Game: 30 minutes
7 + GK v 6 Defending
Set-up: Half-size field with two gates at midfield. Balls placed at convenient restart locations.
1. The build-up team will attempt to score the ball through the gates at midfield by playing around the press
2. The defending team will attempt to win possession and dribble the ball and score in the goal.
3. The ball will initially be played from a goal kick. Otherwise the ball can be played in via throw-in or coach pass into play.
Adaptations:
1. Cone goals or small nets may be used.
2. You can vary the number of players on each side to replicate the build-up in your game format (7 v 7 or 9 v 9 etc.)
3. You can move the target cones or have extra players act as passing targets for the buildup team.
Adjust number based on the player # available.
